Chapter One

In a deep, dark forest, something was stirring. This was unlike the usual sounds the Bhayanak Jungle had been experiencing for so many years. Someone new was in there. Someone wasn't happy. Something was making a loud clanking noise. Something was really going wrong. There were voices, voices never heard before in the Jungle. And all this wasn't in Parseltongue.

"Oye teri pehn di...., khasman nu khaniye, ki kardi piye si? Saare phando nu tod ditta? Oh tennu chahiyde kya?" a bearded tall man was saying. He was huge, not really what others would call a giant but was very tall. And he seemed to be saying these things to a woman half his height.

"Mennu tu kithe leke aa gaya hai khoteya? Ithe te changa ja sandaas vi nahi haiga. Peepa leke jaana penda hai. Teh mai naye phande wastey paise bank cho nikaale si, o tu daru te jua tey gawa baitha? Hay meri kismat! Gurudware tey baaki saari jananiyan ki kawangi??". The woman seemed to be crying very bitterly with her hands all over her face, and after wiping these tears, she finally mustered up enough courage to say "Main tennu chad ke jaariyan..", but as she completed this statement, her husband shouted " Daddoo di thuddi!" (which was an Unforgiven Curse) and the woman fell almost instantly to her death!

Miles away, Hari Puttar got up from his sleep clutching his tummy very tight as if he had seen some bad dream. He had eaten a lot lately. He needed to go to the bathroom.

"Oye kithe jaa reya hai, Puttar?" cried out his closest friend Rupinder Walia who was also his room-mate. They had been friends since the first day of school.
"Oye kithen wi nahi yaar, pet dukh reya si." replied Hari
"Sachi yaar, mein vi sandaas tin vaari hokar aa chukan haan... tey hun vi jaan da man kar reya hai.. ki karan?" said Ron, who seemed to already have a lot on his mind.

"Oye khotte de puttar... ik idea hai.. Madam Pampreet de kol kyun naa jaawein??" Madam Pampreet was their resident doctor who was very proficient in curing their ailments, but since no one else had this problem, meant that there was no problem in the food.

"Oye main kya si, eh ki khaa lita tussi dona nun?"..asked Madam Pampreet, trying to find out the source of the stomach upset.
"Kakh vi nahi, assi teh Makke di Roti tey Sarso......err.. tey ... naal Tomato Ketchup khadi.."
replied Hari, in an embarassing way

"Tayyon!" said Pampreet jee and prescribed them a tablet which was made of 'Saanp di Khaal'

The next morning, they met their common friend Harminder Gaur, who too was their partner in crime for many of their adventures.
"Kithen rey gayi si tussi? Hmm?? Mennu kinni chinta ho rayi si"...
"Oye chadd parey yaar, tu ja apni kitaban wich dabi reh, tennu tey har samay scaance hi chadi rendi hai" snapped back Rupinder.
"Oye khoteya, unnu chadd, chal teri klaas da time ho gaya hai.. chal phaajjh!" screamed Hari as all of them finally scrambled to their first class of the year.
